The European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA)

ECLA is an international organisation bringing together local law societies and bar associations representing the interests of in-house lawyers. ECLA was established in 1983 in Belgium, and in 1990, based on the Royal Decree, it became an association incorporated under the Belgian law.

The main purpose of ECLA is to represent the interests of member organisations at the European and international level, developing centres of learning and documentation as well as supporting contacts and information exchange between its members. It also organises meetings, conferences and seminars on various topics of law, in particular related to the EU law. It also promotes research and study of law, especially through scientific publications.
